Today is RJS' first day of classes this semester at UW. She's teaching a class on comic books (ahem, 'graphic novels') so she made this awesome image for her students. Was so impressed I thought I'd share.

Like most folks working on the web I spend most of my time doing my development on my local machine. At Zivtech we also have a development server on which we test and share and allow the clients to add content and give us feedback. And then we have the live sites themselves. If everyone is up-to-date between the three, the sites will look exactly the same except for the URLs.
To help differentiate I made this simple Grease Monkey script: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/84808 that places an unobtrusive reminder in the bottom corner of the screen. Just a helpful tool for the grind.

Since I've moved to Madison, I've been working for the ziv from home. I'm interacting with folks from Philly and all over. In this work-a-day internets-everywhere world it often feels weird chatting, talking, and emailing with folks without seeing where they are. So here is my setup.

Thanks to the folks from UW and Brazen who helped put together DrupalCamp Wisconsin in Madison this past Friday and Saturday. There were over a hundred folks in attendance, great sessions, and Drupal cupcakes!
Here are the slides from my presentations:

Sadly, after almost two years and about two thousand miles I had to sell the Rebel. It was hard watching some stranger drive away with it. Thanks for the memories little guy!

A friend of mine, Anthony Ingargiola, is running for State Representative in PA's 195th district this April. To help out with his campaign I whipped up a quick site in Drupal that allows him to contact his supporters and spread the word. So far he has been endorsed by a number of progressive organizations, the DA (who also has a Drupal website) and the Daily News. I will be back in Philly to help Anthony out on election day!

Goal:
This is a basic IP failover setup. There are other tools out there like Heartbeat and the Linux-HA suite. But I wanted something with less overhead. I also wanted something that was 'semi-automatic'.

I've had a lot of fun today at the Chicago Drupal Jam: http://jam.cdmug.org/
The event featured 7 Drupal 7 presentations. It has been a while since I've fired up Drupal 7 and have to say I'm pretty excited. I think Drupal 7 is really going to blow people away. Especially the Wordpress / Joomla holdouts who love those packages' UIs and bemoan Drupal's. Drupal 7 'out of the box' looks really slick. And under the hood there are some exciting changes.
A couple of notes from the day.
Q: When Will Drupal 7 Be Release?
A: Answer (From Crell), 'When it is Ready'!

I worked most of this weekend, b/w a poetry reading, a piano bar, getting a good run in and hanging out w/ rjs, on updating the Drupaldelphia theme.
