Thanks to the folks from UW and Brazen who helped put together DrupalCamp Wisconsin in Madison this past Friday and Saturday. There were over a hundred folks in attendance, great sessions, and Drupal cupcakes!

Here are the slides from my presentations:

Feb 10 2010 - 12:15pm

This is course is an introduction to Drupal. No former knowledge of Drupal or website creation is required. Through six two-hour classes we will create a community video site. The final product should look something like this.

Everyone will be encouraged to setup a local installation using the Acquia installer, wamp, or mamp.

The concepts we will cover will include basic Drupal site architecture, menus, blocks, regions, cck, cck field modules including emfield, views, the Drupal community, core vs. contrib, module evaluation, and more.

One of the coolest things about New York is the amazing array of artistic and design-related creativity. We were lucky to connect with Eyebeam for our Theming and Site Building trainings in New York.

Drupal Camp Philly went smashingly yesterday with over 80 participants and a great lineup of presenters.

Thanks to the organizers who did a great job putting it together and for Drexel for hosting us.

I'll post notes from my presentation as soon as I get a chance. I've also committed myself to adding some walk-thrus of creating galleries and some of my reviews of what is out there which I'll do this week.
